Job summary

Windsor Public Schools seeks a Jr. Systems Analyst / Technology Support Technician to join the district Information and Technology team. The role blends data work—configuring, validating, and reporting in PowerSchool and related systems—with hands-on hardware support across schools.

The ideal candidate is organized, proficient in Excel, and comfortable traveling between sites. Strong problem-solving and integrity are essential, with regular hours M–F and generous benefits.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of operating systems: Windows & Chrome OS.
• Working knowledge of Google Workspace for Education: Sheets, Slides, Forms, Docs, Gmail, and Drive.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Access and SQL.
• Working knowledge of common end-user hardware, including desktops, laptops, Chromebooks, printers, projectors, and interactive displays.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain student and staff records as directed.
• Validate data and troubleshoot errors in reporting.
• Assist in developing user documentation and departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist in providing end-user training and support.
• Assist in the configuration and integration of student information systems and related software.
• Provide excellent customer service via phone, email, virtual conference, and in-person support.
• Diagnose and resolve technical problems with district technologies (desktops, laptops, Chromebooks, printers, projectors, AV equipment).
• Image, deploy, configure, and maintain student and staff devices across school sites.
• Perform routine maintenance, minor repairs, and troubleshooting on hardware and peripherals.
• Respond to and resolve help desk tickets across multiple school locations.
