Job summary

WSP is seeking an Entry Level Substation Structural Engineer for our Billings, MT office. The following locations will also be considered: Overland Park, KS and Denver, CO. Join our Mountain Civil/Structural Substation Team to assist in the design, development, and construction of power delivery projects.

You will collect data, perform basic analyses, generate documentation, and ensure safety and structural soundness across projects. Relocation assistance is not available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in structural or civil engineering or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with collecting, compiling, and analyzing site data, surveys, GIS, and maps for project development.
• Assist with basic professional structural engineering tasks evaluating site conditions for conformance with standards.
• Provide entry-level technical assistance on design requirements and operating strategies for safety and functionality.
• Verify site characteristics and provide technical support to ensure structural soundness against loads.
• Generate documentation using drawings, 2D/3D illustrations, and site logs.
• Follow safety guidelines, procedures, and project-specific requirements.
• Perform training on assigned tasks and support ethical use of company resources.
