Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an Entry Level Substation Structural Engineer for its offices, with assignments in Billings, MT and consideration for Overland Park, KS and Denver, CO. You will assist in the design, development, and construction of building and infrastructure projects, contributing to safe, compliant and functional structures.

You will collect data, perform basic analysis, and help generate documentation, while learning design software and industry practices under supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in structural or civil engineering.

Responsibilities

• Assist with data collection and analysis from site, surveys, drawings, GIS and other sources for project development, design and construction.
• Conduct basic professional structural engineering work related to site conditions, resources, and conformity with rules and permits.
• Provide entry-level technical assistance on design requirements to ensure safety and functionality for end-users and infrastructure.
• Verify site characteristics and aid in securing structural soundness from loads and environmental factors.
• Generate documentation using drawings, 2D/3D illustrations, and field notebooks.
