Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Associate Substation Protection and Controls Engineer to join our Power Delivery division in Orlando, FL. You will assist project teams with Protection and Control design on utility substation projects, perform basic engineering calculations, and prepare deliverables such as drawings and reports.

You will collaborate with other disciplines, contribute to process improvements, and maintain organized records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Fundamental understanding of utility grid and electric power
• Ability to meet deadlines and work in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Assist project teams with Protection and Control design on utility substation engineering projects.
• Perform basic engineering calculations to support engineering design.
• Follow the established Quality Control Plan while completing assignments.
• Assist with the preparation of project deliverables including drawings, reports, and correspondence.
• Collaborate with other substation engineering disciplines as required.
• Assist in developing processes and procedures to improve project execution.
• Maintain accurate records and files and stay organized.
• Enhance technical knowledge and understanding of the work.
• Support Leidos' goals and represent the company professionally.
