Job summary

Walter P Moore is seeking a Graduate Engineer to join the Construction Engineering Services team in a hybrid work environment. The role focuses on analyzing structures, developing construction sequencing, and providing steel design support to contractors and fabricators.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s in Civil Engineering with a Structural focus, possess an EIT, and have strong communication skills. Experience with Tekla, BIM, and SAP2000 is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural.
• EIT
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with Tekla and Building Information Modeling (BIM) is preferred
• Demonstrated strength in steel design, steel connection design and structural analysis
• SAP 2000 modeling experience
• Work experience/internships with contractors, steel fabricators, or steel erectors strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Analyze and validate structures at different stages of construction.
• Develop construction sequencing for complex structures.
• Analyze and design temporary structures to support construction.
• Perform steel connection design.
• Support Project Managers on construction projects.
