Job summary

Walter P Moore is seeking a Graduate Engineer in Construction Engineering to join the Construction Engineering Services team. You will support project design teams on a range of structures, including commercial, sports, aviation, healthcare, education, and cultural buildings.

The role emphasizes structural analysis, construction sequencing, and temporary structure design, with opportunities to participate in MOORELearning.

Qualifications

• Master's in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural.
• EIT certification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Tekla and BIM is preferred.
• Demonstrated strength in steel design, steel connection design and structural analysis.
• SAP 2000 modeling experience.
• Work experience/internships with contractors, steel fabricators, or steel erectors strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing and validating structures at different stages of construction.
• Developing construction sequencing for complex structures.
• Analysis and design of temporary structures to support construction.
• Designing steel connections for critical structural elements.
• Supporting the Project Manager on project execution.
• Applying strong computer analysis skills to project challenges.
