Job summary

Walter P Moore is seeking a Graduate Engineer to join its Construction Engineering Services team as part of the Structures Group. The role involves analyzing structures during construction, developing sequencing for complex builds, and designing temporary supports and steel connections.

The candidate should have a Master’s in Civil Engineering (Structural focus) and be an EIT, with strong communication skills and experience with Tekla/BIM.

Qualifications

• Master's in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural.
• EIT certification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Tekla and BIM is preferred.
• Demonstrated strength in steel design, steel connection design and structural analysis.
• SAP 2000 modeling experience.
• Work experience/internships with contractors, steel fabricators, or steel erectors strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and validate structures at different construction stages.
• Develop construction sequencing for complex structures.
• Design temporary structures to support construction.
• Perform steel connection design and structural analysis.
• Support project managers on architectural projects across multiple sectors.
