Job summary

Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a Junior Software Developer to support prime contracts focused on enterprise systems. The role includes telework up to one day per week, collaboration in an agile team, and responsibilities spanning feature development, bug fixes, and performance improvements.

You will work with Django, AWS, VueJS, Docker, and PostgreSQL in a fast-paced environment, contributing to documentation and SDLC activities while pursuing growth in a security-conscious

Qualifications

• TS/SCI with Polygraph
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and three (3) years of experience in software development/engineering. Seven (7) years of experience in software development/engineering may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
• Willingness to learn new technologies
• Experience developing and updating technical documentation

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on a team of 3 developers working to enhance the Tracking Repository for Incoming Orders application.
• Write code, develop features, and maintain the application.
• Address user issues, fix bugs, and improve system performance.
• Develop and implement monitoring tools and systems that detect potential issues in the system before they lead to outages, ensuring system stability.
• Adapt to a fast-paced, agile work environment.
• Manage and update Docker containers to ensure efficient application deployment and scaling, as well as streamline the development process.
• Quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues, whether they are related to code, infrastructure, or data, to maintain system functionality.
• Implement best practices for data security and integrity to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance.
• Engage in Agile methodologies, participate in sprint planning, stand-up meetings, and adapt to changing requirements and priorities in a collaborative and iterative development process.
