Job summary

Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a Junior Software Developer to support prime contracts, focusing on sustainment, modernization, and transformation of enterprise applications used across government operations.

You will participate in the full software development lifecycle, contribute to system enhancements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex technical problems in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Active security clearance with polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and three (3) years of software development/engineering experience. Seven (7) years of experience in software development/engineering may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
• Willingness to learn new technologies
• Experience developing and updating technical documentation
• Experience working with the AWS Platform
• Experience working in an Agile Development Team
• Experience working with Git for source code management
• Experience with GOTS products
• Experience with EngineX

Responsibilities

• Join an established, high-performing team responsible for the sustainment, enhancement, and modernization of mission-critical security applications that support essential operational functions across the enterprise.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, troubleshooting, deployment, and production support.
• Help identify opportunities to improve system functionality, performance, and user experience.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and projects while balancing independent work with collaboration across cross-functional teams.
• Engage with technical leads and team members to evaluate emerging technologies, improve development practices, and support ongoing evolution of critical sustainment systems.
