Job summary

Freedom Technology Solutions Group seeks a Senior Software Developer to lead a small team and modernize enterprise applications supporting Government CMS efforts. You will design, implement, and sustain scalable Python web services using Django, FastAPI, or Flask, with React or Vue front-ends and RESTful API integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
• 12+ years of software development/engineering experience;16 years with substitution may be used.
• Experience with REST API.
• Experience with modern Python full-stack development (Django/FastAPI/Flask) with React/Vue and RESTful API integrations.
• Unit testing experience.
• Git/Gitlab with CI/CD.
• Experience with Docker.
• Working knowledge of Linux.
• Experience with Agile software development processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small, collaborative development team sustaining and enhancing a mission-critical Enterprise Support Services application.
• Serve as a senior technical point of contact translating customer needs into technical requirements and solutions.
• Engage with customers and stakeholders to understand business needs and build alignment for proposed solutions.
• Build intuitive, responsive web interfaces backed by robust data retrieval and storage.
• Apply hands-on Python frameworks (Django, FastAPI, Flask) to deliver scalable, secure apps.
• Integrate backend services through RESTful APIs for data flow and functionality.
• Translate complex business requirements into database structures and application logic.
• Design, build, and deploy Docker containerized apps to Linux servers.
• Collaborate within Git/GitLab workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
• Contribute in Agile environments with sprint planning and backlog grooming.
• Demonstrate ownership-oriented problem solving and willingness to learn new technologies.
