Job summary

TriNet is seeking an Associate Sales Consultant in Minneapolis, MN for an entry-level, mentored sales development program. You will learn consultative selling, support Sales Consultants, and build foundational skills in outreach, client engagement, and research.

You’ll receive structured onboarding, ongoing coaching, and growth pathways into future sales roles. This cohort-based program begins in January 2027 or July 2027, with relocation options as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Open to candidates at all experience levels, including recent graduates.
• Internship, customer-facing roles, sales exposure, or business experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop a strong understanding of TriNet’s products, services, and value proposition for SMBs.
• Support Sales Consultants throughout the sales process, including client engagement and follow-up.
• Conduct account and market research to identify potential clients, decision makers, and business needs.
• Assist with preparing customized presentations, proposals, and client materials.
• Participate in sales meetings and prospect conversations via phone, email, video, and in-person interactions.
• Draft professional follow-up communications and help coordinate meetings using Outlook and Microsoft Teams.
• Build confidence communicating with business leaders and internal stakeholders.
• Gain hands-on experience with Salesforce, LinkedIn Navigator, ZoomInfo, Gong, and Highspot.
• Participate in structured onboarding, sales training, and mentorship sessions.
• Receive coaching from experienced sales professionals and learn to manage priorities and timelines.
