Job summary

WEG Electric Corp. in Duluth, GA is seeking a Project Manager I to own assigned orders from inception to delivery and develop core project management skills.

You will serve as the primary client liaison, ensuring milestones, scope, and deliverables are met while coordinating with sales, manufacturing, and suppliers. This role offers hands-on leadership on medium/high voltage motor and drive projects, with opportunities to advance toward PMP certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 0–3 years of project management or technical project experience.
• Interest in PMP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary customer liaison for assigned orders throughout the lifecycle.
• Lead handover and kickoff meetings with sales and customers.
• Establish milestones, deliverables, and acceptance criteria per contract.
• Manage order scope and change orders.
• Prepare status reports and coordinate with manufacturing sites and vendors.
• Conduct site visits with customers and vendors as needed.
