Job summary

WEG Electric Corp. is seeking a Project Manager I to lead assigned orders from inception to delivery, owning the customer relationship and ensuring milestones and contractual deliverables are met.

You will coordinate with sales, manufacturing, and vendors, conduct kickoff meetings, and manage scope changes to ensure timely revenue recognition and successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
• PMP or project management certification is a plus.
• Exposure to technical or industrial project environments is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary customer liaison for assigned orders throughout the order lifecycle
• Lead handover meetings with the sales team and conduct kickoff meetings for your orders
• Establish and track milestones, deliverables, and acceptance criteria aligned with contractual requirements
• Manage order scope and process change orders
• Coordinate with team members to ensure delivery commitments are met
• Coordinate with in-house manufacturing sites and third-party vendors
• Prepare and deliver status reports to leadership
• Conduct site visits with customers and vendors as needed
• Perform regular progress and financial reviews for your assigned orders
• Ensure timely revenue recognition and milestone invoice processing
• Coordinate logistics and shipping requirements
• Other duties may be assigned by management to meet business needs

As a Project Manager I, you'll own assigned orders from inception to successful delivery while building essential project management skills.

In this role, you'll serve as the primary point of contact for clients on your assigned orders, directly maintaining client relationships while driving outcomes that advance both customer satisfaction and our company's market position. Your leadership will directly support critical infrastructure development, providing you with the opportunity to learn and grow in the energy landscape.

This position offers hands‑on project leadership experience擁deal for aspiring project managers who want to build their careers while owning meaningful projects.

Preferred location: Atlanta-Metro, GA, with a strong preference for candidates within commuting distance of our Duluth, GA headquarters.

Primary Responsibilities:

Knowledge & Skills:

Technical Expertise

• Basic understanding of electrical industrial systems and power electronics
• Familiarity with industry standards including NEMA, IEC, IEEE, and UL certifications
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP experience a plus

Leadership & Communication

• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to confidently represent the company to clients
• Effective verbal, written, and presentation skills
• Developing conflict resolution and negotiation techniques in technical environments

• Ability to take ownership of orders while seeking appropriate guidance
• Detail-oriented with ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Experience/Education:

• 0-3 years of experience, preferably with some exposure to technical projects
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline preferred
• Interest in pursuing PMP certification is a plus
