WEG Electric Corp. in Duluth, GA seeks a Senior Project Manager to independently lead highly complex customer and EPC projects through the full lifecycle, coordinating engineering, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and commissioning.

The role requires advanced knowledge of electrical industrial systems, strong risk management, and a proven ability to influence outcomes across multiple teams. Excellent stakeholder communication is essential, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

5+ years of project management experience with electrical equipment or large capital projects.
PMP certification preferred.
8+ years of advanced understanding of electrical industrial systems and system integration.
Experience managing complex, customer-facing technical projects.
Knowledge of industry standards (NEMA, IEC, IEEE, UL).
Strong project controls, methodologies, and lifecycle management.
Experience with ERP systems and SAP is preferred.
Strong leadership and stakeholder management across levels.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Strong analytical and decision-making abilities in high-risk scenarios.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
Influence without direct authority.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

Independently lead multiple concurrent projects from handoff to closeout.
Serve as primary customer interface and maintain stakeholder relationships.
Set execution strategies, schedules, milestones, and acceptance criteria.
Lead kickoff, reviews, risk assessments, and closeout activities.
Manage scope and change approvals within authority.
Resolve complex technical, commercial, and operational issues.
Provide leadership during escalations requiring cross-functional decisions.
Coordinate across engineering, manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and quality.
Influence objectives and align with business priorities.
Mentor and coach project managers and staff as needed.
Conduct site visits, supplier meetings, and manufacturing reviews.
Own project financials including forecasts, margins, cash flow, and billing.
Perform regular project reviews on schedule, cost, quality, and risk.
Identify commercial risks and mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with contracts, procedures, and quality standards.
Support audits and continuous improvement programs.
Provide technical leadership on complex projects and cross-functional coordination.
Contribute to PM best practices and organizational initiatives.
