Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a Project Engineer in Washington to kick-start a career in project management. You will assist project managers on multi-million dollar commercial MEP projects, gaining experience in estimating, scheduling, and coordination within a design-build process.

The role focuses on supporting field labor, procurement, document control, cost tracking, and schedule development as part of a fast-paced team at a leading MEP company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or construction management.
• Basic skills including inquiring, reviewing and printing job cost reports, labor feedback entry and purchase order entry.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC design and operation.
• Ability to read mechanical and plumbing drawings and track labor feedback.
• Ability to prepare equipment delivery log and track orders.
• Competent with general business writing and public speaking.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to communicate with vendors and submittal process.
• Ability to coordinate with field foremen and design team.
