Job summary

Southland Industries in Philadelphia is offering an internship and new college graduate program designed to immerse recent graduates in hands-on project experiences. The program supports a range of small to medium projects and provides exposure to estimating, procurement, and subcontractor coordination.

Ideal candidates will have an engineering degree, basic ERP knowledge, and familiarity with HVAC or plumbing concepts, plus strong communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent education, training, and experience.
• Basic ERP skills, including inquiring, reviewing, and printing job cost reports
• Basic knowledge of HVAC or plumbing design
• Basic verbal and written communications skills
• Basic computer skills, including CADD and Microsoft Office, such as Excel

Responsibilities

• Estimates the impact of project changes and provides information to applicable management
• Manages change orders, ensuring they are completed accurately and tracked as required
• Procures equipment and materials and services; and participates in the selection and hiring of subcontractors
• Stays current on emerging trends
• Analyzes and resolves basic questions and problems as needed
