Job summary

Southland Industries offers an immersive internship and new college graduate program designed to drive hands-on experience in the Design/Build HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection sector. The role supports design managers and project managers in coordinating projects, learning estimation, scheduling, and the design-build process.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree aligned with Southland needs (engineering disciplines listed).
• Interest in technical courses such as fluids, heat transfer, scheduling, finance.
• Demonstrated strong work ethic and accountability in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Assist design/PMs to coordinate projects using engineering, labor, equipment and subcontracted services.
• Support design, trade and subcontractor coordination and document control.
• Assist in budget analysis, cost projections and schedule development.
• Help develop project schedules and track progress.
• Contribute to design/build coordination and effective communication with field personnel.
