Job summary

• Two-year technical degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field.
• High School diploma plus 2 years experience in a role operating a power system.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and regulate system voltages and real/ reactive power flows.
• Assist real-time operation of the transmission system with the AEP SCC.
• Prepare basic switching orders and safety tagging for equipment removal or service changes.
• Direct switching under emergency conditions and restore service to customers.
• Maintain event logs and monitor metering/communication facilities for faults.
