Job summary

Jetro Restaurant Depot is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Payroll Coordinator to support weekly and biweekly payroll processing for 1,000+ employees across multiple states. The role maintains payroll records, audits time and attendance, and resolves discrepancies, while handling confidential information and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities include onboarding assistance, tax withholdings, and coordination with HR and benefits.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of payroll, accounting, or administrative experience.
• Associate degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training and relevant experience.
• Experience supporting a high-volume, multistate payroll environment preferred.
• Experience with ADP Enterprise or similar payroll platform preferred.
• Experience processing payroll for exempt, non-exempt, and union-represented employees is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Assist with processing weekly and biweekly payroll for 1,000+ employees.
• Enter and maintain employee information in the payroll system, including wage changes, deductions, tax withholdings, leaves, and terminations.
• Verify addresses, tax-withholding, and direct-deposit changes.
• Calculate and process retroactive payments and other payroll adjustments.
• Audit payroll registers and reconcile information to resolve discrepancies.
• Support locations with onboarding questions and payroll-related inquiries.
• Maintain confidentiality of payroll and employee information.
