Job summary

Impact Networking, LLC. is seeking a Systems Engineer I in Indianapolis, IN to support client environments and incidents. You will work on server, workstation, backup, monitoring, and cloud-related issues, following documented procedures and communicating with customers.

The role emphasizes technical training, certification, and staying current with new technologies, with on-call rotations and opportunities for growth within a national MSP.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in IT support, help desk, systems administration, or technical operations.
• Foundational operational support experience and developing technical troubleshooting skills.
• Foundational knowledge of virtualization, server administration, cloud technologies, endpoint support, and networking concepts.
• Experience with Windows Server, VMware/ESXi, Active Directory, DNS, and routing; Azure, M365, and Azure Virtual Desktop concepts.
• ITIL and service management familiarity a plus.
• Experience with HaloPSA or similar platforms is a plus.
• Strong communication and customer-service focus.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide world-class customer support and technical assistance for client environments.
• Handle incidents, change orders, and service requests; restore service and document work.
• Monitor infrastructure; verify alerts and follow troubleshooting procedures.
• Communicate ticket status clearly to customers.
• Assist in reviews of client requests and escalate advanced engineering concerns.
• Document work and track time in HaloPSA with evidence and resolutions.
• Participate in training, mentorship, and certification development.
• Maintain certifications and stay current with new technologies.
