Job summary

Southland Industries in Washington state is seeking a Project Engineer to support the project team on smaller, less complex projects. You will assess impacts of changes and provide information to management.

You will manage change orders, procure equipment, materials and services, and participate in selecting and hiring subcontractors. Stay current on trends and resolve basic questions as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent education, training, and experience.
• Basic ERP skills, including inquiring, reviewing, and printing job cost reports.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC or plumbing design.
• Basic verbal and written communications skills.
• Basic computer skills, including CADD and Microsoft Office, such as Excel.

Responsibilities

• Estimates the impact of project changes and provides information to applicable management
• Manages change orders, ensuring they are completed accurately and tracked as required
• Procures equipment and materials and services; and participates in the selection and hiring of subcontractors
• Stays current on emerging trends
• Analyses and resolves basic questions and problems as needed
