Job summary

Syska Hennessy Group is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Engineering Graduate for our Commissioning and Facility Management Division in New York. You will support engineering teams, learn from senior staff, and contribute to innovative, collaborative solutions that aim for client satisfaction across landmark projects.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will enjoy a team environment and be flexible enough to work independently where needed.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a graduation date Winter 2026, Spring or Summer of 2027.
• Knowledge in the latest version of MEP AutoCAD; REVIT experience is a plus.
• Proficient in design and calculation software; MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Progress and other report writing
• Developing and administering pre-functional checklists
• Performing functional testing of low-level systems with test scripts created by others (VAV's, Unit Heater's, Lighting Controls, Circuit Verification, RPP's)
• Proactively problem identification and resolution
• Taking ownership of completeness, accuracy and timeliness of the work assignments
• Assisting engineers with field investigations and construction site visits to observe and attend project coordination meetings
• Participate and regularly attend the EDT program training sessions and support activities that are part of the EDT program
• Attend all other continuing education seminars on technical or professional enhancing topics
