Job summary

Garmin is seeking a Mechanical Engineer 1 at its U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. The role focuses on developing basic mechanical solutions and modeling parts with CAD software to support product concepts through to mass production.

You will participate in design, test planning, and documentation control, applying solid engineering fundamentals. A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or related field and CAD proficiency are required for this entry-level position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• GPA 3.0 or higher suggested.
• Experience with CAD software is required or strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create basic mechanical designs for Garmin products.
• Model parts using CAD and prepare drawings for production.
• Develop basic test plans and verify design requirements.
• Maintain configuration control of production documentation.
