Job summary

JE Dunn Construction's Advanced Facilities Group (AFG) seeks an entry-level Mechanical/Electrical Engineer to join the M/E Core team in St. Louis. You will participate in safety and quality plans, assist in developing budget estimates and prepare bid-ready scopes under supervision.

You will learn to analyze options, coordinate with subcontractors, and support scheduling while growing your technical skills on complex industrial and data center projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architectural engineering or related field (Required).
• In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• 0-2 years construction experience and/or summer internship/co‑op experience in construction (Preferred).
• Proficiency in MS Office and ability to read and interpret plans/drawings.

Responsibilities

• Learns and actively participates in safety and quality plans and culture toward an injury‑free environment.
• Completes entry level and routine mechanical, electrical and field construction activities.
• Learns how to develop budgetary M/E estimates using automated M/E estimating system.
• Assists in review of mechanical and electrical options during preconstruction and conducts systems analysis for select projects.
• Learns to develop mechanical and electrical scopes of work used to coordinate during the bid process.
• Assists in bid analysis and provides input during subcontractor selection.
