Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required (mechanical, electrical, architectural engineering or related field) or equivalent experience will be considered.
• 0-2 years construction experience and/or summer internship/co-op preferred.
• Must have ability to read and understand plans, drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic JE Dunn M/E tools/software.

Responsibilities

• Learns and participates in safety and quality plans and culture.
• Completes entry level mechanical, electrical and field construction activities.
• Assists in developing budgetary M/E estimates from program and schematic design information.
• Assists in reviewing mechanical and electrical options during preconstruction and performs systems analysis.
• Learns to develop mechanical and electrical scopes for bid process coordination.
• Assists in bid analysis and subcontractor selection input.
• Assists in sequencing requirements and developing solutions to meet schedules.
• Gains knowledge of design documents to identify quality issues and create constructability review reports.
• Learns to perform job inspections to ensure specs and quality.
• Assists with shop drawings/submittals per contract documents.
• Assists with commissioning process including pre-functional checklists and testing procedures.
