Job summary

JE Dunn Construction's Advanced Facilities Group (AFG) seeks an entry-level Mechanical/Electrical construction professional to join a national team delivering Mission Critical, Advanced Industries, and Industrial & Manufacturing projects. You will contribute to safety, quality plans, and early-stage estimates while learning bid coordination and sequencing to meet schedules.

Ideal candidate has 0-2 years of construction experience (internships OK) and a degree in ME/EE/Architectural Eng.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architectural engineering or related field (Required).
• In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• 0-2 years construction experience and/or summer internship/co-op experience in construction (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Learns and participates in safety and quality plans and culture.
• Completes entry level mechanical, electrical and field construction activities.
• Learns to develop budgetary M/E estimates using automated M/E estimating system.
• Assists in reviewing mechanical and electrical options during preconstruction.
• Learns to develop the mechanical and electrical scopes of work for bid coordination.
• Assists in bid analysis and subcontractor selection.
• Assists in developing sequencing requirements to meet the schedule.
• Gains knowledge of design documents to identify quality problems for constructability reviews.
• Learns to perform job inspections to ensure specifications are met.
• Learns and assists with shop drawing/submittal process.
• Assists with commissioning including pre-functional checklists and functional testing.
