Job summary

JE Dunn Construction in Kansas City, MO, seeks an entry-level Mechanical/Electrical Engineer to support routine M/E activities and data collection for estimates and bid analyses.

As part of the Advanced Facilities Group, you will learn to develop M/E budgets, review options, and assist with bid processes while growing in a safety-conscious, collaborative environment. Bachelor’s degree required; 0–2 years preferred; on-site role with mentorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, architectural engineering or related field is required or equivalent experience.
• 0–2 years construction experience or internship preferred.
• Ability to learn and apply E/E estimation concepts and review design documents.

Responsibilities

• Assist in completing entry level mechanical, electrical and field construction activities.
• Learn to develop budgetary M/E estimates using the estimating system.
• Support bid analysis and subcontractor selection processes.
• Participate in review of mechanical and electrical options during preconstruction.
