Job summary

JE Dunn Construction in Kansas City, MO, is seeking an M/E Engineer 2 within the Advanced Facilities group. You will complete routine mechanical, electrical, and field construction activities, gather data, help develop estimates, and support bid analysis in alignment with JE Dunn's strategy and values.

This role offers exposure to large industrial, data center, and semiconductor projects, with opportunities to grow from M/E Engineer 2 to M/E Engineer 3, while adhering to safety and quality plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; equivalent relevant experience considered.
• 2+ years construction and/or engineering experience.
• Ability to read and understand plans, drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing budgetary M/E estimates using the automated estimating system.
• Review mechanical/electrical options during preconstruction and perform systems analysis.
• Develop mechanical/electrical scopes of work for bid coordination.
• Assist with bid analysis and input during subcontractor selection process.
• Coordinate sequencing of systems to meet schedules.
• Participate in commissioning, including pre-functional checklists and functional testing.
