Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking an entry-level M/E engineer for our Advanced Facilities team in Oklahoma City. You will assist in mechanical and electrical activities, learn budget development from design data, and support bid analysis and subcontractor selection during preconstruction.

The role emphasizes learning to coordinate M/E scopes, review designs for constructability, and participate in scheduling to meet project timelines. A related degree and internship are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architectural engineering or related field required.
• 0-2 years construction experience and/or internship preferred.
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Learns and participates in safety and quality plans and culture.
• Completes entry level mechanical, electrical and field construction activities.
• Learns to develop budgetary M/E estimates from program data using estimating system.
• Assists in reviewing mechanical/electrical options during preconstruction and analyzes systems.
• Learns to develop mechanical/electrical scopes for bid coordination.
• Assists in bid analysis and subcontractor selection input.
• Develops sequencing requirements for various systems to meet schedule.
• Learns to identify constructability issues from design documents.
