Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking an entry-level M/E Engineer in Mesa, AZ. The role develops basic mechanical and electrical scopes, learns estimating concepts, and supports preconstruction tasks for large industrial projects.

You’ll work with a team to review plans, ensure safety standards, and contribute to bid analyses while growing toward more responsibilities within the Advanced Facilities group.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years construction experience or internship preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Familiarity with M/E estimating concepts is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Learns and participates in safety and quality plans and culture.
• Performs entry-level mechanical, electrical and field construction tasks.
• Assists in developing budgetary M/E estimates using provided data.
• Reviews mechanical and electrical options during preconstruction and conducts systems analysis.
• Assists in defining M/E scopes of work for bidding and coordination.
• Supports bid analysis and subcontractor selection processes.
• Gathers information to plan sequencing and meet schedule requirements.
• Participates in shop drawing/submittal process and commissioning activities.
