Job summary

MAXISIQ is seeking a Junior IT Support Specialist to provide superior customer service and ensure smooth operation of IT systems. The role supports customers remotely and in person, and is located in Quantico, VA and Huntsville, AL.

Responsibilities include end-user support, hardware/software maintenance, and network monitoring, with a focus on quick diagnosis and effective resolution. A TS clearance is required, with CI poly anticipated.

Qualifications

• Active Top-Secret clearance is required and CI poly will be performed.
• Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2 years of related IT support experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Resolve end-user support tickets and troubleshoot hardware/software issues.
• Install, configure, and update workstations, peripherals, and operating systems.
• Monitor LANs, Wi‑Fi, routers, and switches to maximize uptime.
• Enforce basic cybersecurity measures and perform data backups.
• Coordinate with external vendors for IT equipment and services.

Job Description

MAXISIQ has an opening for Junior IT Support Specialists who will be responsible for providing superior customer service and are committed to the successful operation of our information technology systems. We are seeking a qualified IT Systems Specialist to work with customers remotely and in person, guiding them through systems configuration and troubleshooting, while aiming to resolve issues with efficiency. Now interviewing for this full-time opportunity located in Quantico, VA and Huntsville AL.

Core Responsibilities

• Helpdesk & Technical Support: Resolve end-user support tickets, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and assist with computer setups.
• Hardware & Software Maintenance: Install, configure, and update workstations, peripherals, and operating systems.
• Network & Infrastructure Support: Monitor local area networks (LAN), Wi-Fi, routers, and switches to maximize system uptime.
• Security & Backups: Enforce basic cybersecurity measures, run data backups, and follow disaster recovery procedures.
• Asset & Vendor Management: Track IT inventory, document system processes, and coordinate with external tech vendors.

Key Requirements

• Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of Windows/Mac/Linux environments, networks, and hardware components.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and fix technical faults quickly, either independently or by escalating complex issues.
• Communication Skills: Strong customer service mindset to assist non-technical staff at all organizational levels.

Qualifications

• Must have an active or current Top-Secret clearance. Will be required to undergo a CI poly.
• Associate's degree in computer science, Computer Information Systems or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
• 2 years of related experience
