Job summary

MAXISIQ, Inc. is seeking a Junior IT Support Specialist to ensure smooth operation of our IT systems at Quantico, VA and Huntsville, AL. You will guide customers through configurations and troubleshooting, providing exceptional service both remotely and on-site.

The role requires an active Top-Secret clearance with CI poly, an associate degree in a technical field, and at least two years of IT experience. You will work with hardware, software, networks, and security practices to keep systems

Qualifications

• Active Top-Secret clearance required; CI poly will be required.
• Associate degree or equivalent in computer science or related technical discipline.
• At least 2 years of related IT support experience.

Responsibilities

• Resolve end-user tickets, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and assist with setups.
• Install, configure, and update workstations, peripherals, and operating systems.
• Monitor LAN, Wi‑Fi, routers, and switches to maximize uptime.
• Enforce cybersecurity measures and perform data backups per procedures.
• Maintain IT inventory and coordinate with external vendors.

Job Description

MAXISIQ has an opening for Junior IT Support Specialists who will be responsible for providing superior customer service and are committed to the successful operation of our information technology systems. We are seeking a qualified IT Systems Specialist to work with customers remotely and in person, guiding them through systems configuration and troubleshooting, while aiming to resolve issues with efficiency. Now interviewing for this full-time opportunity located in Quantico, VA and Huntsville AL.

Core Responsibilities

• Helpdesk & Technical Support: Resolve end-user support tickets, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and assist with computer setups.
• Hardware & Software Maintenance: Install, configure, and update workstations, peripherals, and operating systems.
• Network & Infrastructure Support: Monitor local area networks (LAN), Wi-Fi, routers, and switches to maximize system uptime.
• Security & Backups: Enforce basic cybersecurity measures, run data backups, and follow disaster recovery procedures.
• Asset & Vendor Management: Track IT inventory, document system processes, and coordinate with external tech vendors.

Key Requirements

• Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of Windows/Mac/Linux environments, networks, and hardware components.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and fix technical faults quickly, either independently or by escalating complex issues.
• Communication Skills: Strong customer service mindset to assist non-technical staff at all organizational levels.
