John H Carter / ControlWorx is seeking a purchasing/inventory clerk to support managers in stocking decisions and to analyze historical data for order quantities. The role involves evaluating discounts, generating purchase orders, and tracking orders to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist in selecting inventory to stock based on demand and history.
• Use detailed historic data to determine order quantities.

• Monitor delivery, stock issues and PO performance.
• Assist with counts and annual physical inventory.
• Implement process improvements to streamline replenishment.

Job description

• Assists Managers in selecting inventory to stock
• Works with detailed historic data to determine order quantities
• Evaluates discount opportunities when purchasing
• Generates new purchase orders to meet ordering requirements
• Tracks purchase orders and deals with delivery and stock issues
• Assists Managers with the monitoring and evaluation of slow, dead, and excess inventory
• Assists with periodic inventory counts and participate in annual full physical count
• Assists with inventory management activities as needed, including implementing process enhancements to streamline the replenishment function
• Maintains job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations
• This job is demanding in terms of knowledge skills, commitment, and all other job-related qualifications. Urgency and pressure for prompt, accurate results are routine. Multi-tasking and the ability to handle and manage interruptions is expected.
• Regular and predictable attendance is essential for this position.
• Review special orders with purchasing agents
