Job summary

Nichiha in Macon, GA is seeking an Inventory Controller to develop and implement procedures, monitor levels, and reconcile records with production, purchasing, and accounting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement inventory control procedures to ensure accurate tracking of inventory levels and transactions.
• Monitor inventory levels and usage patterns to maintain optimal stock.
• Reconcile inventory records with production, purchasing, and accounting.
• Prepare inventory reports including turnover, stock-out rates, and obsolete stock.
• Perform regular physical counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Maintain relationships with vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Collaborate with procurement and receiving teams.
• Issue POs for approved requisitions to support purchasing.
• Obtain competitive quotes from vendors.
• Identify improvement opportunities and cost savings in inventory management.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory inventory requirements and standards.
• Coordinate with Storeroom Supervisor to ensure receipts and accuracy.
• Set up new storeroom items in IFS systems.

• Work closely with production, purchasing, and accounting departments to reconcile inventory records and identify discrepancies
• Prepare inventory reports and analysis, including inventory turnover, stock-out rates, and obsolete inventory level
• Perform regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies

• Work closely with Procurement Coordinators and the Receiving Teams
