Job summary

General-Beverage-Sales-Co is seeking a detail-oriented purchasing coordinator to manage supplier orders based on projections, inventory analyses, and sales trends. You will negotiate shipments to our warehouses and coordinate with purchasers at other locations for maximum efficiency.

Responsibilities include analyzing sales data, coordinating with management, and ensuring timely, cost-effective deliveries across locations. A strong emphasis on communication and data-driven planning is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze daily/monthly sales records, trends, and market conditions to forecast purchase quantities.
  • Execute purchases in coordination with management to fulfill market objectives.
  • Monitor internal transfers of inventory and purchasing receipts.
  • Verify inventory and bills received, approve invoices and freight bills for payment.
  • Coordinate with other locations to maximize ordering and cover low inventory as needed.
  • Assess lead times and advise on delays or changes in lead times.
  • Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and resolve shortages.
  • Communicate clearly during supply chain disruptions.
  • Participate in cycle counts and physical inventories.

Description

Responsible for accurately ordering products from assigned suppliers based on projections, inventory analysis, sales trend analysis, solid record keeping, and regular communication with sales consultants and managers. They negotiate for shipment of product to our warehouses, and coordinate with purchasers at other locations for maximum efficiency

Requirements
  • Keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy of orders, billing, receiving, and transfers and timely and cost-effective delivery of product
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate and coordinate with sales leadership, internal departments and locations, and outside suppliers and shipping companies
  • Nimble data analysis skills to forecast and evaluate appropriate purchase quantities while considering changes in market conditions
  • Self-motivated, results-driven and committed to best-in-class service
  • Acts with honesty and transparency and treats others with respect, dignity and fairness
  • Contributes to inclusive culture by building rapport, maintaining an openness to different perspectives, and fostering a welcoming environment for all
  • Minimum of associate degree or equivalent professional work experience
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Able to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and information processing systems
  • Valid driver’s license preferred, government issued id required
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
Responsibilities

Develop a strong knowledge of system inventory, customer orders, discounts, and deals.??

  • Analyze daily/monthly sales records, trends, economic conditions and anticipate consumer buying patterns and review system projections for purchase quantities.
  • Execute purchases needed to fulfill market objectives in coordination with management.
  • Monitor internal transfers of inventory and purchasing receipts.??
  • Verify inventory and bills received, approve invoices and freight bills for payment, make any needed adjustments in system.
  • Work with other locations to maximize combined ordering and cover low inventory as needed.??
  • Assess market lead times, trends in the trucking/delivery methods of incoming products and advise management on delays or changes in lead times.??
  • Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries, resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries and other problems.??
  • Communicate with clarity and pace if disconnects and/or disruptions in the supply chain are experienced.
  • Participate in cycle counts, physical inventories and analyze results.??
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
