Job summary

Ware Malcomb in New York is seeking a Designer I to support project teams in delivering innovative design. You will assist in design and documentation across project phases, prepare materials and presentations, and support construction administration under the guidance of senior staff.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of experience in interior architecture/design, a degree in interior design or related field, and proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• 1+ years' experience in Interior Architecture & Design
• Bachelor's degree or technical degree/certificate in Interior Design, Architecture, or related program
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to create components of presentation packages
• Understanding of design principles, color and materials

Responsibilities

• Assist in AutoCAD and Revit support for preparation of project documents
• Support compliance with BIM/CAD standards and procedures
• Assist in production of graphics via 3D renderings and illustrations
• Assist in graphic formatting and mood boards for client presentations using Studio Templates
• Collaborate with team to select finishes, fixtures, and furniture
• Support design, documentation, and assembly from Space Planning through Construction
• Develop construction drawing techniques
• Coordinate specs with drawings to meet project requirements
• Draft space planning concepts and program documents
• Assist the Design lead in meetings with consultants, dealers, reps, and fabricators
• Assist with submittals during Construction Administration
• Communicate with industry partners and Ware Malcomb employees
• Assist with vendor interfaces and library resources
• Support file and information storage compliance
