Job summary

Markel in Austin, Texas, is seeking an Associate Product Development Specialist to drive form development for new or revised insurance products and to research coverage forms for the Markel US Insurance Division. You will draft related insurance documents and ensure regulatory compliance across states.

Collaboration with internal teams is essential to deliver accurate filings and informed product enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 0-2 years of experience in developing insurance coverage forms.
• Conceptualize and create insurance forms and endorsements.
• Interpret state laws and regulations as applicable to the policy life cycle.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal ability.
• Project management experience preferred.
• Technically proficient in Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Develop insurance policy forms for new and revised coverages with clear underwriting intent.
• Identify and confirm regulatory compliance.
• Prepare documentation for product filings and State Department of Insurance requests.
• Assist and share knowledge with PRS colleagues.
• Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Participate in special projects as requested.
