Job summary

Markel Corporation is seeking an Associate Product Development Specialist in the US. You will develop insurance policy forms for new and revised coverages, ensuring clarity of underwriting intent and market competitiveness.

You will identify regulatory requirements and prepare filings and related documentation. The role emphasizes collaboration with internal stakeholders, sharing knowledge, and contributing to special projects while applying strong analytical and regulatory interpretation

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; 0-2 years in insurance product development preferred.
Ability to conceptualize and create insurance policy forms and endorsements.
Interpret state laws and regulations relevant to the policy lifecycle.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; detail-oriented with good interpersonal abilities.
Project management experience is a plus; proficient with common business software (Excel/Word).

Responsibilities

Develop new and revised insurance policy forms that clearly convey underwriting intent and are market competitive.
Identify and confirm regulatory compliance for forms.
Prepare documentation for product filings and state insurance requests.
Share knowledge with colleagues and foster internal collaboration.
Engage with stakeholders on form development and special projects.
