Zusammenfassung

Markel Group is seeking a Senior Product Development Specialist in the US Insurance Division to develop forms for new and revised coverages and to draft associated insurance documents. You will research and compare coverage forms, ensure underwriting intent, and support regulatory filings.

You will collaborate with product leadership, regulatory specialists, and state departments to deliver compliant filings and maintain form management across policy systems and related operational areas.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial property and casualty insurance, preferably with product development.
• Knowledge of commercial insurance products including manuals and coverage forms.
• Ability to conceptualize and design insurance forms and endorsements.
• Ability to interpret state laws and regulations as applicable to the insurance policy life cycle.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational ability.
• Project management experience preferred.
• Technically competent in standard business software including Excel and Word.

Aufgaben

• Develop forms for new and revised coverages and products that convey underwriting intent and market competitiveness.
• Identify and confirm regulatory compliance.
• Research competitors’ forms and perform coverage comparisons.
• Analyze and interpret form changes and impact on coverage forms.
• Lead form project meetings by product, program, or line of business.
• Prepare provisional forms and filing notices for product filings.
• Assist Regulatory Specialists in responses to state Departments of Insurance.
• Provide information to support form implementations across policy systems.
• Prepare communications regarding form management to leadership.
• Lead special projects and underwriting support for form usage and training.
• Mentor and share knowledge within Product & Regulatory Services and Markel.
• Participate in educational opportunities to enhance related skills.
