Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Entry-Level Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to work on multi-disciplinary control-system projects for industrial facilities. The role involves developing P&IDs, specifying instrumentation, and programming PLC/SCADA systems, with mentorship to grow in the field.

You will gain exposure to startup activities, onsite support, and coordination with the discipline lead while delivering quality engineering outcomes in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Revit software.
• Strong communication skills and analytical/problem-solving abilities.
• Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Knowledge of PFDs and P&IDs.

Responsibilities

• Develop P&IDs and specify process instrumentation and valves.
• Design PLC-based control systems and networking for control systems.
• Program PLCs and SCADA systems.
• Provide on-site startup assistance and coordinate with staff and discipline lead.
