Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an entry-level Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to work on state-of-the-art industrial and commercial facilities. You will develop P&IDs, specify instrumentation, design PLC-based systems, and program PLCs/SCADA with mentorship to grow in your career.

You will collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams, manage schedule and quality, and gain exposure to client expectations, scope, budget, and startup activities on-site when needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Revit software.
Strong communication skills (verbal & written) and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship, now or in the future.
Knowledge of PFDs and P&IDs.

Responsibilities

Develop P&IDs, specify process instrumentation and valves; design PLC-based systems.
Design networking for control systems; program PLCs and SCADA systems.
Coordinate with staff and discipline lead; provide on-site startup support.
Develop designs for a variety of processes across multiple facilities.
