Job summary

Coastal Community Bank is seeking a junior in‑house attorney to provide foundational legal support across banking and fintech/BaaS initiatives. You will conduct research, review contracts, spot risks, and support day‑to‑day legal workflows under senior attorneys.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA‑accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing with the Washington State Bar (or ability to obtain Washington in‑house counsel registration promptly upon hire).
• 0–3 years of legal experience in corporate law, banking/financial services, fintech, commercial transactions, or related practice areas.
• Experience drafting or negotiating commercial or technology contracts preferred.
• Experience supporting corporate governance, Board/committee operations, or regulatory filings is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Contracts, Transactions & Commercial Support: Assist with initial review of commercial, vendor, and technology contracts.
• Legal Research & Regulatory Support: Conduct legal research on banking, fintech, privacy, compliance, and commercial matters.
• Banking, Fintech, and Business Support: Provide first‑level issue spotting on operational or partnership matters.
• Corporate Governance & Board Support: Assist with preparing Board and committee materials and maintain governance documents.
• Stockholder Relations & Regulatory Filings: Assist with governance disclosures and regulatory filings, maintain shareholder records.
