Coastal Community Bank is seeking a junior-level In-House Counsel to provide foundational legal support across our traditional banking and fintech/BaaS businesses. Working under the guidance of senior attorneys, you will focus on legal research, contract review, issue spotting, and day-to-day workflows.

This role offers direct exposure to banking and fintech law in a fast-moving, innovative environment and is an onsite position in Washington.

Formación

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legal, contractual, and regulatory issues.
• Excellent legal research and writing skills with strong attention to detail.
• Strong contract negotiation skills with the ability to understand both legal and financial implications of terms.
• Effective interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills; able to convey legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
• Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across teams and with leaders at all levels.
• Comfort learning new technologies, contract management tools, and legal systems; experience with CLM tools (e.g., Agiloft) preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with initial review of commercial, vendor, and technology contracts.
• Draft basic contract language, amendments, and templates under supervision.
• Identify and elevate potential legal or business risks to senior attorneys.
• Support contract administration tasks, including tracking, routing, and maintaining documentation.
• Help prepare summaries, checklists, and comparison charts for contract terms.
• Conduct legal research on banking, fintech, privacy, compliance, and commercial matters.
