Job summary

FIS is seeking an experienced in-house attorney to support the Legal, Compliance & Corporate Affairs function in Jacksonville, FL. You will draft and negotiate complex commercial transactions with financial institutions for SaaS and cloud fintech services, while providing strategic, risk-aware legal guidance to enable business objectives.

Qualifications

• J.D. with active membership in a state bar.
• 3–5 years of relevant in-house experience preferred.
• Strong communication, research, writing and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter with good judgement and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate high-impact commercial transactions with financial institutions for SaaS and Cloud fintech services.
• Provide pragmatic legal advice to enable business strategy while managing risk.
• Lead go-to-market legal activity for fintech offerings, including structuring and drafting agreements.
• Lead pre-litigation dispute resolution with clients, partners, vendors, and more.
• Support regulatory compliance initiatives and cross-border considerations.
• Conduct legal due diligence for business transactions, mergers, acquisitions, or partnerships.
