GEI Consultants is seeking a Junior-Level Staff Geologist/Hydrogeologist in Rancho Cordova, CA. You will support a range of water resources planning and hydrogeologic investigations, with travel across California and the western United States. Expect field work, data analysis, and reporting under supervision.

The role emphasizes field activities, data interpretation, and collaboration with a project team to deliver technical solutions to regulators and clients.

Qualifikationen

• B.S. in Geology or closely related field; graduate degree is a plus.
• Experience in hydrogeology, groundwater modeling, and water resource planning.
• Strong grasp of geologic principles and California geology.
• Willingness to travel for short- and long-term assignments; valid U.S. driver’s license.

Aufgaben

• Support hydrogeology and water resource projects in office and field.
• Field activities: core logging, boring oversight, well installations.
• Monitor groundwater quality and collect samples.
• Prepare reports and deliver technical presentations to clients/regulators.
• Oversee subcontractors and review invoices; assist in project scopes and safety plans.
