GEI Consultants, Inc. seeks a Junior -Level Staff Geologist/Hydrogeologist to join our Rancho Cordova, CA team. Under supervision, you will expand your technical expertise in water resources planning and hydrogeologic investigations across California and the western United States.

A field component will require travel, weekends, and occasional overnight assignments. You will support office and field projects, oversee subcontractors, collect and analyze groundwater data, and help prepare

Qualifikationen

• B.S. in Geology, Hydrogeology, Geological Engineering, Earth Science, or related field; graduate degree a plus.
• Experience in hydrogeology, groundwater modeling, and water resource planning.
• Strong geologic principles knowledge; California geology familiarity.
• G.I.T. desirable; P.G. or ability to obtain credential is a plus.
• 0–5 years of professional geological/geotechnical consulting experience.
• Excellent MS Office skills; strong technical/reporting writing.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel for short- and long-term assignments; valid U.S. driver's license.
• Ability to hike rough terrain and lift 50 pounds; work independently and in teams.
• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training a plus.

Aufgaben

• Provide technical and administrative support for office- and field-based hydrogeology and water resources projects.
• Perform field activities: logging borings, well installations, groundwater monitoring, and field documentation.
• Oversee subcontractors, evaluate field activities, and assist in investigation workplans.
• Analyze data, prepare reports, and deliver presentations to clients/regulators.
• Prepare maps/figures, cross-sections, and geologic interpretations; assist with proposals and safety plans.
