Job summary

Rivian Automotive seeks an emerging to mid-level Technician to support EV repairs, inspections, and field service operations. You will work closely with senior technicians at a local service center, with potential for remote support, mobile service, or plant involvement as needs evolve.

You will learn the EV framework, diagnostic workflows, and maintenance procedures while delivering high-quality customer experiences in a fast-paced, adventure-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited automotive repair school/program is highly preferred.
• 0–3 years of hands-on experience in an automotive shop or technical environment; open to recent graduates launching their career.
• Basic exposure to electric vehicle (EV) / hybrid frameworks, or experience working in fast-paced start-up environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle Service & Repair: Perform or assist with vehicle diagnosis, repairs, installations, and inspections at service center, mobile route, or remote location.
• Technical Guidance & Learning: Learn to identify and explain the product line, EV framework, tools, and accessories under mentorship.
• Procedure & Safety Adherence: Use technical resources and follow repair procedures without compromising quality or safety.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct road tests post-repair to verify quality and safety.
• Parts & Operations Management: Assist with parts ordering, receiving, shipping, inventory tracking, and work orders/expenses.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed technical notes for completed and in-process repairs.
• Customer Interaction: Maintain professionalism in customer interactions at service facilities or events.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify process improvements and participate in service campaigns.
• Professional Growth: Engage in required training and stay current on evolving skills.
