Job summary

Rivian Automotive is seeking an entry to mid-level Technician to support EV repairs, inspections, and field service. You will work under seasoned technicians, helping with diagnostics, vehicle services, and learning the Rivian EV framework.

The role is primarily at a local service center with potential for remote work, mobile service travel, or plant support as needed. A strong communicator who thrives in fast-paced settings and enjoys innovation will fit well.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or recognized equivalency preferred.
• Minimum age of 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no suspensions or revocations within the past 3–5 years).
• Ability to drive a non-commercial truck and trailer is preferred.
• Availability for a standard 40-hour workweek, including potential shifts on weekends, holidays, early mornings, evenings, or overnights based on business needs.
• Flexibility for travel to regional locations or production facilities as needed.
• Proficient with laptops/computers in Windows or Mac environments, as well as work order management systems.
• Eagerness to learn, strong organizational skills, time management, and high attention to detail.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform or assist with vehicle diagnosis, repairs, installations, and inspections—at service center, mobile route, or remote location.
• Learn product line, EV framework, tools, and accessories under mentorship while maintaining safety and quality.
• Conduct road tests post-repair to verify quality and safety, and assist with parts operations and inventory.
