Job summary

Rivian is seeking an emerging to mid-level Technician to grow technical skills while delivering an exceptional customer experience. Based primarily at a local service center, you will support EV repairs, inspections, and field service operations under the mentorship of senior technicians.

This role may involve remote work, travel for mobile service, or supporting plant operations as business needs evolve; we value strong communication, adaptability, and a passion for innovation and adventure.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited automotive repair school/program is highly preferred.
• 0–3 years of hands‑on experience in an automotive shop or technical environment; open to recent graduates looking to launch their career.
• Basic exposure to electric vehicle (EV) / hybrid frameworks, or experience working in fast‑paced start‑up environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle diagnosis, repairs, installations, and inspections at service centers, mobile routes, or remote locations.
• Learn product line, EV framework, tools, and accessories under mentorship.
• Follow repair procedures efficiently while ensuring safety.
• Conduct road tests to verify repairs and safety.
• Assist with parts operations: ordering, receiving, shipping, inventory, and expenses.
• Maintain detailed repair notes for internal and external use.
• Interact professionally with customers, families, and suppliers.
• Suggest process improvements and participate in service campaigns.
• Pursue required training and grow technical skills with minimal supervision.
