Job summary

Pace Analytical Services is seeking a Scientist to join our environmental testing laboratory in Massachusetts. In this role you will conduct hands-on analysis and ensure data integrity for environmental samples, using GC-MS and established chemistry methods.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related STEM field, with at least 8 chemistry credit hours with labs, and comfort working in a lab with PPE. This is a full-time on-site role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related STEM required.
• Must have 8 chemistry credit hours with labs.
• Ability to work in a laboratory environment and wear PPE (lab coat, safety glasses, gloves).

Responsibilities

• Work with instruments such as GC-MS to analyze environmental samples using established chemistry and biochemistry methods looking for environmental contaminants.
• Review and interpret the results from the sample analysis.
• Accurately document procedures, observations, and results to maintain high-quality, organized laboratory records.
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
